Claudia Stolle is Director of the IAP and Professor of Atmospheric Physics. She received her doctorate in meteorology from the Leipzig University in 2005 and subsequently was postdoctoral researcher at the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences. Between 2010 and 2013, she worked as scientist at DTU Space in Denmark. In 2013, she took over as head of the “Geomagnetism” section at GFZ and was appointed Professor of Geomagnetism at the University of Potsdam. In 2021, she assumed as the Director of the IAP and Professor of Atmospheric Physics at the University of Rostock. Her scientific interests focus on atmospheric and ionospheric physics as well as geomagnetism. She is active in both research and teaching and serves on national and international review and advisory panels.
