The IAP as an employer
At the Leibniz Institute of Atmospheric Physics, we conduct research into the mesosphere and lower thermosphere, regions that are becoming increasingly important for understanding the climate and the impact of growing space traffic on the atmosphere. Our research combines state-of-the-art instruments, innovative analysis methods and international cooperation.
As an institute of the Leibniz Association, we are a modern employer that values an open scientific culture, equal opportunities and flexible working conditions. Together with the University of Rostock, we train young scientists and are connected to the global research community.
You can expect a collegial working atmosphere, a wide range of scientific and technical activities, and the opportunity to participate in international campaigns. Our modern infrastructure, ranging from laboratories and workshops to unique lidar and radar systems, enables research of the highest standard.
New employees also benefit from structured onboarding, short communication channels, and a work culture that promotes exchange and cooperation.
