Hey there! I’m Gourav Mitra, currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Leibniz Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP), Kühlungsborn, Germany. I obtained my Ph.D. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN), while conducting research at the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad. My doctoral work explored the global influence of sudden stratospheric warming events on the middle atmosphere, focusing on planetary-scale waves such as tides and planetary waves. At IAP, I investigate mesoscale dynamics in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere using multi-static specular meteor radar observations.
